This incredible ability to communicate with horses led him to whisper to Robert Redford's ear on the set of the movie adapted from the book. He can start a horse in 20 minutes by communicating with him, without any violence, without harness and without rodeo. During his entire career as a horseman, he has started 2000 wild horses (mustangs) to avoid them the slaughterhouse and has taken over 5000 difficult horses.
